The Division
of Imaging Research is dedicated
to exploring the following imaging modalities:
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), CT (Computed Tomagraphy), Ultrasound,
PET (Positron Emission Tomography), PET-CT, and X-ray.
The main interests of the group are DCE-MRI of tumors, Cardio-vascular
contrast agents, MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography), Angiogenesis,
and Molecular Imaging.
In addition to doing research within the fore-mentioned areas, our
group is also exploring ways to collaborate via video-conferencing
(Internet based H.323). Our video-conferencing collaborators are
the Ohio Supercomputer
Center (OARnet), NIH/Clinical Center, and Bioinformatics. For our
clinical and non-clinical research, we have many collaborators here
at OSU, in Industry, and on the national and international level.
See a detailed list.
Scientific meetings which we attend are RSNA, ISMRM, ECR, ESMRMB, ASNR, SCAR, Deutscher Roentgenkongress (Wiesbaden, Germany), and the Society of Molecular Imaging in Boston.
The Division has recently developed a 4.7 Tesla Animal MRI facility at Wiseman Hall under Dr. Petra Schmalbrock's direction. We encourage anyone interested in doing research with the new 4.7T MRI to contact Petra Schmalbrock, Ph.D. at 293-4139 or at schmalbrock.1@osu.edu.
