Research Interests/Projects:

8 Telsa MRI:

• 8T Parallel Imaging, Multi-port Excitation, Experimental Assessment of RF Field Properties
• Relaxometry at 8T
• 8T Tissue Contrast Mechanisms with applications to normal aging, Alzheimer's and other conditions with altered tissue iron, blood oxygenation and perfusion
• Optimization of BOLD Venography and TOF at 8T
• Susceptibility Artifact Assessment and Correction

4.7 Tesla Animal MRI:

• Dr. Schmalbrock is currently directing the development of the 4.7T Animal MRI system in Wiseman Hall. If you have an interest in using the facilities for a research project, please contact her at 293-4139 or at schmalbrock.1@osu.edu.
